Desde que entre a
UDEM, en prepa el lema de la Universidad siempre me interpelo, claro y fuerte, utópico?
Quizá, ciertamente no es un slogan, sino en verdad una máxima, para recordarnos
dónde está la verdadera naturaleza de la riqueza ó del éxito, no esta en competir
ó en acumular sino en el servicio a los demás.
Otra frase que
conozco de memoria desde chavo, me hizo atar cabos:
“Dormí y soñé que la
vida era alegría,
Desperté y ví que la
vida era servicio,
Serví y descubrí que
en el servir, se encuentra la alegría”

Hace unas semanas
publicaron en Verbum una entrevista que me hizo Vicente Guerrero de UDEM en la
revista Verbum, mientras estaba de misión en Camerún:
El título del artículo: Portador de la Misión de Servir, Pum! Es un título bastante fuerte, que de alguna manera compromete, pero si uno se pone a pensar, a eso viene todo el mundo a este mundo, no? A Servir… Alguien más por ahí dijo:
“El que no vive para
servir,
No sirve para vivir!”
Será?...
Va un abrazo desde la calurosa Galaxia Africana(a
veces demasiado calurosa), en una de las misiones más clínicas que he vivido
con MSF: Sudán del Sur.

In the service of
mankind”
Since I entered in to UDEM (my local university
in Monterrey) the motto of the Universtiy always called my attention: clear and
strong, utopic? Maybe, but ceirtanly not a slogan, but truly a máxima to remind
us where reside the true nature of wealth and success, , not in competition or
accumulate but in to the service of others.
Another phrase that I know by heart since Young
(younger) made me tie ends:
“I’ve slepted and
dreamed tha life was joy,
I’ve woke up and
discover that life was service,
I’ve served and
discover that in service, is where joy resides”.

Some weeks ago, they’ve published an inteview
Vicente Guerrero made me while I was on misión in Camerun in January:
the title
of the article: “Carrier of the misión of service” Pum! It’s a title quite
strong, that in a way engages, but tan again if one gets to think, this is why
everyone comes to the world, isn’t? To Serve… someone else said:
“Who do not live to
serve,
Is useless to live!”
Will it be?
Here goes a great hug still from the warm African
Galaxy (sometimes too warm) in one of the most clinical mission I’ve ever had
with MSF: South Sudan!
